New HVM Service Center adds local presence to service Mid-Atlantic market
Columbus, Ohio [February 10, 2022] – High Voltage Maintenance Corporation (HVM) announced today that it is opening a new Baltimore field office, a 6,000-square-foot facility, adding a ninth HVM Service Center to its national network and expanding the capabilities of the organization in the Mid-Atlantic market.
The new Service Center will be split evenly between shop floor and office space. After completing the move into the new space in March 2022, HVM will be able to bring customer equipment, such as breakers, switches, and other high-voltage electrical components, into the shop for repairs and service.
“Our business in and around Baltimore has grown rapidly over the last year, driven in large part by robust hyperscale data center construction in the Ashburn, Virginia, area,” said Eric Nation, general manager of HVM. “Moving into this facility and operating as a fully functioning Service Center will make the service process more efficient and less disruptive, and further extend our nationwide network of HVM Service Centers supporting the electrical needs of our customers.”
HVM™ installs, inspects and services high-voltage equipment for a variety of customers, including those in the commercial and industrial market, data centers, hospitals, utility companies, and government facilities.
HVM has a network of nine service centers located in Cheshire, CT; Dayton, OH; Elk Grove, IL; Walpole, MA; Greenwood, IN; New York City; New Berlin, WI; and Pittsburgh supporting the Midwest and New England regions. This newest HVM Service Center will be located on Coca Cola Drive, near Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
Established more than 50 years ago, HVM employs hundreds of engineers, NETA-certified technicians and support personnel to provide a full portfolio of services ranging from NERC-required maintenance and testing to arc flash and protection and control services.
